Weekly Update – Getting Closer to Going Back

This week a lot of progress has been made for us in China. Praise the Lord! Here are some things that have happened:

  • Some friends in China packed all of the stuff in our house up into bags.
  • Another friend rented a storage apartment for us.
  • A different friend hired a moving company and moved all of our stuff to this storage apartment.
  • We have contacted our former landlord to let him no we will no longer rent the apartment we were living in. Please pray he would refund us back at least part of the year’s rent we had to pay upfront.

All of this happened with no interference from the police, so we praise the Lord for this.

We have applied for new passports and they should be coming in by next Tuesday. Once we have passports in hand, we will apply for new Chinese visas. Please pray that these would be approved. If they are approved, then we will make plans to head back to China!

Also, this week Charles, the Chinese pastor was requested to go back into the police station for questioning. He was only there for about an hour and questions were asked about our missionary friend Mark and about another foreigner we know in Dalian. Please pray for Charles to have peace and strength and that the police would not call him in again.  Also, please continue to pray for the church in Dalian that they could find a suitable place to meet and be able to boldly continue on.

Thank you for praying for us! God bless you all!

Yours for China,

Kanon & Nancy
