Kanon and Nancy Bio
Kanon Bloom along with his wife Nancy arrived in China after finishing deputation at the beginning of 2018. They spent approximately 2 years in China learning the language and serving in an under ground church. They have recently finished up their language school time and plan to begin their first church plant in the near future.
Kanon was saved as a teenager and felt calling him into missions soon after getting saved. A couple of years later at 21 years old he began taking classes at the Our Generation Training Center at Vision Baptist Church. He met his wife Nancy there, and after finishing classes and getting engaged he spent six months in Dalian, China doing a six-month internship for on-the-field training. When he came back to the states in the fall of 2015 he and Nancy were married and began deputation.

I was born into a loving Christian home, where as long as I can remember my parents would take me to church and teach me about the Bible. I grew up knowing the Bible stories and knowing about how Jesus died on the cross and was raised from the dead, but it wasn’t personal. I knew about Jesus, but I didn’t know why I needed Him. As I began to get older, eleven, twelve, thirteen I started realizing that some of the things that I did were wicked and wrong and that God wasn’t happy with them. I thought if I kept doing those things, then I would go to hell, so I tried to stop doing those things. I would try hard to stop sinning, but I would always mess up. Finally after struggling like this for a few years, when I was fourteen I came to a breaking point and realized that I needed God`s help. I still didn`t understand the Gospel and that no matter how good I acted that I was still a hell-bound sinner, but I think God used this point to start showing me my need of a Savior.
In the next four years, I started listening to sermons that a preacher preached through the book of Hebrews and Romans. I remember him explaining how the Bible teaches that Jesus` blood is able to pay for every single sin. I finally came to a point when I was eighteen years old that I realized that it wasn`t about what I did, but what about He did on the cross. I realized that I didn’t measure up and I trusted in what Jesus did on the cross to save me from my sin. I trusted Jesus to make me right with God. This is how I came to know Christ. This is how I fell in love with the Gospel. It is my favorite story! How Jesus died for the sins of the whole world, was buried, and then was raised from the dead. I hope to be able to tell the millions of people in China about this wonderful news.
I am so thankful for Christian parents that always took me to church when I was growing up. I grew up in a Christian home. When I was six years old my parents told me that I got saved and then I got baptized at seven. But I don’t remember actually trusting in Jesus myself. As I got older I kept learning about Jesus. So when I was 16 I realized I was not really saved because baptism doesn’t save anyone and I didn’t remember personally believing in Jesus. So one night after church I asked my parents how to get saved. So they opened the Bible and read a lot of verses to me, and then they asked me if I wanted to trust Jesus with my heart. I said, “yes” and that was the night I put my faith in Jesus Christ. After that I felt so much peace in my heart. I am so thankful for my parents helping me to understand about Jesus and the Bible.
